FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A woman tried to take her own life this morning at a local emergency shelter.
According to the Fairbanks Police Department, a woman shot herself in the chest at approximately 11:50 while at the Fairbanks Rescue Mission.
The Fairbanks Fire Department transported her to the hospital, where her condition is currently unknown.
