UAA education students will be allowed to graduate

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Students from University of Alaska Anchorage School of Education have one less worry. On Monday, the state decided to accept students from UAA as coming from a state approved program, despite the School of Education losing its accreditation earlier this year.
Around 40 students graduating in spring or summer will still be able to get their Alaska teaching licenses. UAA lost its status after the 'Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation' found its program lacking. It could take up to three years for the program to be accredited again.
