Troopers Stop Search for Missing Snow Machiners

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Alaska State Troopers in Nome have stopped searching for two snow machiners missing since Feburary 25th.

AP reports David Miller and Rex Iyatunguk left the village of Teller together on a snow machine around noon on Feburary 25th for a 70 mile trip to Nome... but never arrived.

The search was hampered by severe snowstorms.

Troopers say volunteers will continue to search for the pair... and family and friends of the men have asked on social media for donations of food and supplies to support the efforts.
