FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Three men were arraigned in Fairbanks Superior Court Wednesday on charges of rioting and criminal mischief. Hoe Kim, Dametrey Rice and Eli Simpson are all facing charges for their alleged participation in the August 2017 riot at the Fairbanks Correctional Center. The disturbance broke out in the center's "A-wing" and involved a total of 15 inmates. Fairbanks Police and Alaska State Troopers responded, as well as the Special Emergency Response Team, to try negotiating the prisoners' surrender.
