JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Juneau police have detained a 39-year-old man in a fatal stabbing. Police say 47-year-old William Campbell was stabbed early Thursday morning and he died en route to medical treatment in Seattle. Police took a 911 call shortly before 12:30 a.m. reporting a fistfight on a downtown street. As officers responded, a second call came in reporting a man had been stabbed. Officers found Campbell bleeding from the torso. The man suspected of stabbing him was immediately taken into custody.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The body of a missing Palmer man has been recovered near the Eagle River Nature Center. Alaska State Troopers say searchers found 47-year-old Neil Guggenmos on Wednesday night and that he appeared to have died from self-inflicted wounds. Numerous search and rescue teams had looked for Guggenmos. Troopers say the teams assisted with the recovery of the body from a challenging location in the preserve.

On 05/01/2019 at 2137 hours the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received a report about a disturbance at the gas station at the intersection of Farmers Loop and Steese Highway. Investigation determined Keith Richardson, age 33 from Fairbanks was challenging the employees to a fight, would not leave the premises when requested, and was in possession of methamphetamine. Richardson was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass 2nd, and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 4th.

On 05/02/2019 at 0235 hours the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received a report near 1 mile Chena Hot Springs Road. Investigation determined Kristen Keyes, age 33 from Fairbanks assaulted a family member causing injury, broke a tablet and window, and took the phone from the victim preventing them from reporting the assault to police. Keyes was arrested for Assault 4th(DV), Criminal Mischief 3rd (DV), and Interfering with Reporting a DV. Keyes was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was held without bail. Alcohol was a factor.

On 5-1-19 at approximately 2112 hours Alaska State Troopers received the report of a disturbance at a residence near mile 1319 of the Alaska Highway. AST responded and contacted Ena M. Beaver (age 40 from Tok). Beaver began cursing and yelling at Troopers and others on scene. Beaver was given a Disorderly Conduct warning but continued to cause a disturbance. Beaver was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Tok holding facility where she was held until she could be released on her own recognizance. Alcohol is a factor in this case.

On 5-2-19 at approximately 0124 hours Alaska State Troopers contacted Melissa M. Isaac-Styan (age 38 from Northway) as the driver of a 2009, white, Ford Fusion during a traffic stop for a moving violation near mile 3 Northway Road. Investigation revealed that Isaac-Styan was operating the vehicle under the influence and impaired by alcohol. Isaac-Styan was arrested for DUI and transported to the Tok Trooper Post where she was held on $500.00 bail, pending arraignment.
Type: Warrant Arrest/Probation Violation
On 05-02-19 at approximately 0133 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks contacted Eric Gonsar, age 34 of Fairbanks, at the Walmart in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed Gonsar had an active felony arrest warrant for a probation violation. Investigation further revealed Gonsar was violating his probation. Gonsar was arrested on the warrant and the probation violation. He was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center. Bail was set at No Bail.

On 05/01/2019 at about 1901 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Heather Morris, age 34 of Ketchikan in the 900 Block of Park Avenue. Morris was found to be intoxicated by alcohol which was in violation of conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse. The original charges stem from MICS 2, and VCOR. Morris was arrested for three counts of VCOR and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $1500.

On 05/01/2019 at about 1800 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Shauna Velasco, age 28, of Juneau in the 100 block of Washington Street for an outstanding bench warrant issued by the Juneau Courthouse for non-compliance with treatment reference the original charges of Burglary 1st Degree and Theft in the 2nd Degree. Velasco was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $10,000.

On 05/01/2019 Alaska State Troopers were called for an active disturbance involving a female striking a male at a residence located on Knick-Goose Bay Rd in Wasilla. When Troopers arrived on scene yelling could be heard inside from the a female. Troopers detained Nadine Drayton 35 of Wasilla who was highly intoxicated. Troopers interviewed the victim who had been kicked and scratched by Drayton. Drayton was arrested for Assault 4th degree Domestic Violence and remanded into Matsu-Pretrial with no bail.

On 05/02/2019 at 1340 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at an address near Pamela Drive. Investigation revealed that, Michael Cleveland, age 29 of Wasilla, caused $700 worth of property damage and was arrested for Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief in the 4th. Cleveland was transported and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial where he will be held without bail until arraignment.

On 05/02/2019 at approximately 0332 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a Toyota 4Runner stopped partly in the roadway with a female passed out behind the wheel of the running vehicle near mile ten of the Talkeetna Spur. An investigation resulted in the arrest of Jorda Patrick Kovash, age 28 of Talkeetna for Driving Under the Influence. Kovash was remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer.

On 5/1/2019 at approximately 0512 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report about a missing man. Neil Guggenmos, 47 of Palmer, reportedly left home in the evening the night prior and failed to return home. A few hours late, Guggenmos' vehicle was located by family at parking lot of the Nature Center in Eagle River.
Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Park Rangers and APD responded to the trailhead to begin search efforts. AST reached out to Alaska Incident Management Team, AMRG, Anchorage Nordic Ski Patrol and Alaska Search Dogs. All volunteer agencies have sent resources.
On 5/1/2019 at approximately 2108 hours, searchers located Guggenmos deceased in the area. It appears that Guggenmos died from self-inflicted injuries. No foul play is suspected. Next of kin was notified. The numerous SAR teams on scene assisted both AST and the SME with the recovery of the body from a challenging location. All SAR personnel have been accounted for and are out of the search area. The SME took possession of the remains.

On 05/01/2019 at approximately 2129 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault near the intersection of Hollywood Road and Big Lake Road. Investigation revealed that Tyler Miller, age 27 of Wasilla placed a family member in fear of physical injury. Tyler was arrested for DV Assault in the Fourth Degree. Miller was transported to Matsu Pretrial, where he was remanded with no bail.
Type: Fail to stop 1st, reckless driving, DUI, Refusal chemical breath test
On 05/01/19, at 2043 hours, AST responded to a REDDI report on Bogard Rd near Earl Dr. AST located the REDDI vehicle, a red Dodge Caliber, at the Kink Kountry Liquor store on Palmer Wasilla Hwy (PWH) at Trunk Rd. AST attempted to stop the Dodge but it fled eastbound on PWH at excessive speeds while passing in no passing zones. The Dodge continued to drive recklessly and turned northbound on to 49th State St while running the red light. The Dodge then turned eastbound, running a stop sign, onto Seagull Dr where it then pulled into a residence. The driver, later identified as Ryan A. Boss, age 30, of Wasilla was taken into custody at the residence. Ryan was arrested for Failing to stop at the direction of a peace officer in the 1st, reckless driving and DUI as he was observed to be intoxicated. Ryan later refused to provide a sample of breath for chemical testing and was also charged with refusal of a chemical breath test. Ryan was remanded into Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held pending arraignment.
