Santa Claus elected to North Pole City Council

Fairbanks In unofficial election results, Santa Claus and Thomas R. McGhee have garnered enough votes to fill the two vacant city council seats for the city of North Pole. With 100% of the precincts reporting, Santa Claus received 102 votes with 41.63%, and Thomas R. McGhee brought in 85 votes, or 34.69%. Carly Nelson had 22.45% of the votes with 55 and there was one write in candidate. The votes will not be official until next week.
