FAIRBANKS, Alaska - It's getting closer to Halloween, and that means it's time to dust off your 'time warp' moves.
"The Rocky Horror Picture show" will be playing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks's Salisbury Theater.
Tomorrow, October 28th, will mark the 9th annual presentation of the show, screened by Naked Stage Productions.
The cult classic made its debut in 1975, and has since garnered quite a following.
The production is interactive as always, with audience members even encouraged to throw things on the stage, sometimes prompted by cue cards.
The doors to the theater open at 11 PM, and the show will start at midnight.
Director and Producer, Rachel Blackwell, explained what will be going on; while Dahlia Rot, who plays Doctor Frank, and Rachel Shoemaker, portraying Janet, talked about why they chose to pursue their roles.
Rachel Blackwell; Producer/Director>>"What we are doing is having the shadow cast in front of the movie, so the movie will actually be playing, and our live cast will be mimicking what you see on the screen."
Dahlia Rot; Dr. Frank 'n' Furter>>"And so it was really sort of revolutionary for little teenage me to see somebody who could dress how they want, act how they want, and there were consequences but like, who cares it's awesome."
Amber Shoemaker; Janet>>"It is so much fun. It is fun to be someone I am actually not, because she is very uptight and, you know, I'm not that so this is a different role for me and it is a lot of fun."
