Race between Kathryn Dodge and Bart LeBon to decide if Republicans control the House

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The race between Kathryn Dodge and Bart LeBon will decide if the republicans have control of the house.
The GOP is already claiming victory, and says they have regained the Alaska House.
They announced earlier today that they stand at 21 members.
Rep. Dave Talerico said he was chosen to be the next speaker, adding that the caucus was working out details - including guiding principles.
However, current House speaker, Democrat Bryce Edgmon, says the race is too close to call.
If Dodge wins, the 40- member house will be split with 20 democrats and 20 republicans.
If Republicans *do take hold of the House, it would be significant - given that Republican Mike Dunleavy was elected governor, and Republicans are expected to hold the Senate.
House Republicans have spent the past two years in the minority.
Democrat Scott Kawasaki vacated the Fairbanks house seat that Lebon and Dodge are vying for, to pursue Senate Seat A against incumbent Pete Kelly.
