"This weeks 'Pet of the Week' is Zane. He is a seven year old cattle dog mix. Zane was brought to the shelter because his family was moving and unfortunately couldn't bring him with. He's been at the shelter for a few weeks now.

Behind the kennel he doesn't act like he likes strangers very much but he is actually a really social dog, who loves people and gets along with other dogs and cats also. So he is a really nice middle age guy who would fit into a lot of family dynamics.

Zane is house broken and is an active dog even though he is seven years old, that's still pretty young.

He would love to go to a family that takes longs walks does social things. If there is other dogs in the home, because he isn't always the friendliest with dogs at the shelter, we recommend that you do mutual visits before bringing him into the family.

Zane is a really great dog, really sweet and he has been to offside events where he has been really social and welcoming of strangers and children. He just finds the shelter a little bit to scary to make friends really quickly which is probably why he has been here for so long, but he is a really handsome dog and he is a herding breed mix so they are really intelligent and really active even in their more senior years.

Zane has other dog, cat and a lot of exotic friends at the shelter looking for a loving home as well."
