Party Palace closes, new operator opening 'Party Planet' in Arctic Bowl building

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - After 20 years, Party Palace officially closed its doors Saturday. The popular Fairbanks party store used to be located next to Arctic Bowl, but later moved to its current location in the brightly colored building off Peger road. Party Palace owner Lori Kezer is selling the current building and retiring to Florida.
However, Fairbanks won't be left without a year-round party store. Kezer's manager is moving Party Palace's current merchandise back into the Arctic Bowl building, and is opening a new store called 'Party Planet'. The new operator says he hopes to open up Party Planet by December.
