FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) This dog is mixed to...the...Max! That's his name, and he's got pit bull terrier and lab in him! He's a shy guy, but he's willing to try!

Here's what Kimberly Imbert, Animal Shelter Operations Supervisor with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say in News 13's ‘Pet of the Week.’
"Hi, I'm Kimberly, and this week's Pet of the Week is Max. He's an American Pitbull Terrier and Lab mix, who is eight months old. He was just neutered at the shelter.
He had been surrendered to the shelter because he wasn't getting along with the other male dog in the home, which is normal when they're intact males and they're kinda going through their adolescent phase.
He is a really sweet, goofy boy. He has a big head, and he doesn't understand how big he is. But he's really sweet and good-natured.
He is said to be good with children, although he might not be fully aware of how big he is.
He would definitely benefit from obedience classes because he's just a big puppy, being eight months old. Max should be housebroken, and he'll probably do well with polite dogs if he's introduced to them and they are intact males so he can practice meeting other dogs and being a really good boy.
Max has other dog friends at the shelter looking for homes as well."
