FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) Do you think they would rather be feared or loved? Or, do you think people should be afraid about how much they love them?
In this edition of 'Pet of the Week' we have six guinea pis named after the characters from the office. (John Dougherty/KTVF)
These little 'Office' workers: Pam, Angela, Andy, Michael, Jim, and Dwight, are all here at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter, so you don’t have to travel all the way to Dunder-Mifflin!
Meet them all in this edition of Pet of The Week.
Here's what Sarah Harman, animal tender with Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, had to say:
“Hi my name is Sarah; I am here at the Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter, here with the ‘Pet of the Week.’ We have a bunch of guinea pigs actually, we are doing. They are all named after characters from the office, which I am sure a lot of us are binging right now.
Guinea pigs are great companion animals, they are very friendly, they are very vocal. They love fresh vegetables and fruits and they need lots of Vitamin C every day. And they also need lots of Timothy hay available to them and a little bit of specialize guinea pig pellets. They do well in pairs.
We are still open for adoptions right now, although are services are limited at the moment, so please give us call or visit our website before coming in so you can know exactly what we have available as things fluctuate.
Now is a great time to bring a new animal into your home when you have lots of available free time to help them adjust and help them get used to new routines and new people. They can provide you with great company in this time of not a lot of social opportunities.
We have lots of other animals available if guinea pigs are not quite your style. We have several dogs, a few cats as well as some available for adoption. So come on down.”
