PET OF THE WEEK: Juno is a goddess looking for love

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) You don't have to be an ancient Roman to believe in this goddess. Meet Juno in this edition of News 13's 'Pet of the Week.'

"Hi my name is Sarah, I am here at the Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Shelter with our 'Pet of the Week,’” said animal tender Sarah Harman. “Her name is Juno. She is a 1-year-old Alaskan husky mix.

She is quite young and rambunctious; she could benefit from some obedience training. It's likely that she has lived most of her life outside and will probably need some remedial house training. She is a very smart girl, very excited and willing to please. So she should be pretty easy to train.

Alaskan huskies are very high energy dogs. They need a lot of exercise and activity so that they are mentally and physically stimulated. Tired huskies are well behaved huskies so she would benefit greatly from a very active family who will take her on adventures, hiking. She would be a great skijorer or bikejorer buddy and would love to go on all your adventures with you.

If Juno is not the dog for you then we have lots of other dogs available, as well as several cats, lots of bunnies, guinea pigs and other small animals. So come on by and see if you can't find yourself a new friend."
