Ordinance 6093 remains the focal point at City Council

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks City Council meeting tonight was the first meeting since Mayor Jim Matherly vetoed ordinance 6093.
Because of the overwhelming response on this issue, Matherly's Administration took a different approach to citizen comments by introducing a method of chance to determine who can speak.
Citizens names were put into a random generator, a method the Mayor's administration said would give everyone a fair chance to speak.
Julie Swisher was there before the meeting started and has more in this report.
