FAIRBANKS, Alaska - United Airlines has announced that they will add nonstop summer seasonal service between Fairbanks and Denver beginning in the summer of 2019.
United has been servicing Fairbanksans to Chicago since 2013, providing this service daily from approximately June through August and now Denver will be added to that list.
According to a press release from the Fairbanks International Airport, this new service is part of a larger strategy to efficiently drive more traffic from smaller communities through their hubs to increase traffic flow.
Communications Specialist for the airport, Sam Loud said this is a great opportunity for both residents and tourists alike.
"We are thrilled that United Airlines has made this decision to expand their service. Denver has been one of our top markets due to past route success. Having connections to both of United's Denver and Chicago hubs will offer visitors and Alaskans alike, global connectivity,” she said.
