Strohamier discussed new plans for the Tanana Valley State Fair with the Rotary Club of Fairbanks during their weekly meeting.

She spoke about the implementation of a brand new website, app, and a new e-ticketing method which will be completely paperless.

There is currently a contest running exclusively on the Tanana Valley State Fair App to win two free tickets to the Uncle Kracker concert happening at the fair on August 3rd. She encourages everyone to go download the app as soon as possible.

Strohamier plans to improve on past issues such as overcrowding, long wait times, and lack of parking. When asked about what she was looking forward to regarding the fair, she answered that she is most excited about working with her brand new TVSF team.

“I am really excited because we have an incredible team of people working together right now. For the first time in my life, even when it’s really stressful, I really enjoy going to work. Because our teamwork and because that we’re working so hard to make this fun. I’m excited for the fair because I think that’s going to reflect in what people experience there.” Says Strohamier.

Strohamier hopes for a big turn-out this year and plenty of fairs to come. She encourages those who want to be a part of the event to volunteer or enter in exhibits the 27-28 of July.

The Tanana Valley State Fair air is scheduled to begin Friday August 2nd, 2019.
