FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Fairbanks North Star Borough Mayor Bryce Ward is holding a town hall to hear from the public on Governor Dunleavy's proposed budget on March 9th from 2 to 5 p.m. at West Valley High School.
"The impacts to the University, the impacts to the ferry system, for our friends down in the south, these are all things that have dramatic consequences to our statewide economy, and folks are very concerned about that, they're concerned that they might not have jobs this summer, many industries in town that I've talked to are already talking about maybe putting things on hold for awhile, to kind of figure out what's gonna happen. That uncertainty does nothing good for our economy," said Ward.
Municipalities across the state will hold similar town halls on March 9th as well.
