Man sentenced for biting off brother’s finger, injuring another

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - 39–year–old Peter Nicori of Bethel, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for biting off part of his brother's finger and repeatedly stomping on a second victim. According to a press release from the Alaska Department of Law, the convictions stem from a 2016 case in which Nicori bit off his brother's right middle finger during a drunken altercation.

A second victim attempted to intervene. Nicori knocked him unconscious and proceeded to stomp on his torso causing the victim's bladder to burst. The man was later transported to Anchorage to undergo emergency surgery.

Nicori was sentenced to serve 21 years for one count of assault in the first degree and two counts of assault in the third degree. He will also serve 10 years of probation.
