Man receives misdemeanor for public indecency; defecating in Fairbanks Walmart

FAIRBANKS, Alaska According to the Fairbanks Police Department charging documents, William Chapple Benson entered Walmart requiring assistance. Walmart Loss Prevention specialist, Jon Phillips saw that Benson was highly intoxicated and called Community Service Patrol to pick up him up. Phillips told Benson to wait outside.

Benson then became belligerent, exposed himself and urinated and defecated where he stood. FPD arrived at the scene where they saw the defecation on the floor and some on the wall. FPD arrested the man and charged him with a misdemeanor.

Prior to this event Benson had two cases where he had been ordered to not be on the premises of Walmart.
