FAIRBANKS, Alaska A judge has sentenced a man convicted of first degree sexual assault to 45 years in prison with 10 years of that sentence being suspended. He then will have to serve 15 years’ probation.

Jondean Willock was found guilty on March 1st of this year after a retrial of his case from 2012.

During the trial jurors learned that Willock was out drinking with the victim when she asked to be taken to the hotel she was staying at. Instead he had a friend take her to another house.

Once they got to the house he is accused of sexually assaulting her. She managed to escape the residence and ran across the street and started banging on the door.

Three young boys staying at the house eventually let her in and called 911.

Willock was originally tried and sentenced to 35 years in prison.

However, he appealed his case claiming that the original jury was tainted by knowing of a previous sexual assault conviction he had served before the new incident.
