Local entertainment venue the Blue Loon, soon to be under new management

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The owner of local entertainment venue the Blue Loon has put his business up for sale.
Adam Wool has owned the Blue Loon for over 20 years, but has been a small business owner for close to 30 years. He has owned three different businesses in the past.
Wool listed the bar and nightclub for sale two years ago but there were no serious buyers until now.
Wool said he's aiming to complete the sale of the Blue Loon in February, after the official transfer of the facility's liquor license to the new owner.
He also confessed that it's a bittersweet feeling, "The night club business is a great business and I started when I was younger and it's time consuming and it's a lot of late nights and weekends and I have young kids and I want to spend more time with them and having more weekends off I think,” he said.
Wool and the Blue Loon have hosted the late U-S Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, rapper Snoop Dogg, comedian Bill Maher, and more.
