FAIRBANKS, Alaska - 'The United Way of the Tanana Valley' and Alyeska Pipeline are kicking off February with a laugh this Friday as they host the 4th annual 'Comedy Roast' with former Governor Bill Walker. This year's event will take place in the West mark Gold Room where local celebrity roasters will take verbal swings at the Former Governor and each other.

All proceeds from the event will go to the United Way, which raises funds for 20 different non-profit agencies in the Interior.

Andrew Aquino, resource development director for the United Way, spoke about the event.

"The panel of the eight celebrities will be making jokes about Bill Walker. He will be sitting in the center of the stage, hopefully laughing at the jokes. The funny fest organizers, Glenner and Jerry, will be facilitating the event making sure that everything is in good spirits and all the jokes are actually funny," said Aquino.

Tickets can be found at unitedway.com/comedyroast and at the door.
