Law enforcement finds wanted man after searching Birch Hill area, Farmers Loop

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A man that law enforcement was searching for on Thursday was arrested after evading and fighting with officers. Thursday morning, AST attempted to pull over Michael Fielder, believing he was driving a stolen vehicle. Fielder abandoned the car on Birch Hill Road and fled into the woods, prompting officers to search the area.

That afternoon, troopers responded to a report of three suspicious people entering a house on Farmers Loop Road. When Troopers arrived, they found Bronson Bourg and Shyann Spencer at the residence. Fielder had fled but was located a short time later when a passerby informed officers they had given him a ride from the residence.

He was arrested on a $5,000 dollar warrant and is facing multiple charges, including vehicle theft, reckless driving, assault, and hindering prosecution.
