FAIRBANKS, Alaska - VOTERS HAVE BEEN OUT AT THE POLLS ALL DAY, CASTING BALLOTS FOR ALASKA'S GOVERNOR, REPRESENTATIVE FOR U-S CONGRESS, THE STATE HOUSE AND SENATE... A PROPOSITION AND JUDGES.
WE HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THIS YEAR'S ELECTION CLOSELY... AND NOW, JULIA LAUDE JOINS US AT THE DIVISION OF ELECTIONS BUILDING DOWNTOWN FOR AN UPDATE ON THE DAY.

WE ARE DOWNTOWN AT THE DIVISION OF ELECTIONS BUILDING WHERE A STEADY STREAM OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN COMING IN TO CAST THEIR VOTES FOR THIS MIDTERM ELECTION.

NOW LET ME JUST REMIND YOU OF SOME OF THE BIG RACES ON THE BALLOT THIS YEAR, MIKE DUNLEAVY AND MARK BEGICH ARE RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR.
YOU MAY SEE GOVERNOR BILL WALKER'S NAME ON THE BALLOT BUT SINCE HE AS SUSPENDED HIS CAMPAIGN...EVEN IF HE DID RECEIVE THE MOST VOTES HE WILL RESIGN FROM OFFICE.
ANOTHER INTERESTING RACE THIS YEAR IS FOR ONE OF OUR SENATE SEATS. INCUMBENT PETE KELLY AND REPRESENTATIVE SCOTT KAWASAKI ARE FACING OFF FOR SENATE SEAT A.
AND OF COURSE WE HAVE A VARIETY OF CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR STATE HOUSE.
AGAIN WE ARE AT THE DIVISION OF ELECTIONS IN DOWNTOWN FAIRBANKS.
THE POLLS ARE OPEN UNTIL 8 TONIGHT SO THERE'S STILL SOME TIME TO GET OUT TO YOUR POLLING PLACES TO VOTE.
