Healy man charged in sex abuse of a minor case

FAIRBANKS, Alaska A Healy man was sentenced to 35 months in prison in sex abuse case yesterday.

Tyler Berg, 24, was charged with four counts of second degree sexual abuse of a minor between the ages of 13-15 in one case and one count of the same charge in another case.

As a result of the deal Berg pleaded guilty to a downgraded count of attempted sexual abuse of a minor and the remaining three counts and the second case were dropped. Berg will also have to register as a sex offender for 15 years.

According to the Fairbanks News Miner, the victims mother attended the hearing telephonically and said she approved of the plea deal.
