FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A man accused of shooting at a car on Chena Hot Springs Road during a road rage incident early this year has taken a plea deal.

Tucker Holmgren, 34, pled guilty to two counts of Assault in the third degree, felony DUI, and Misconduct Involving a Weapon in the fourth degree.

He was sentenced to serve 3 years and 30 days in prison.

According to charging documents, Holmgren was driving drunk and when the victims tried to pass his vehicle, he cut them off, striking their mirror. Holmgren then began shooting at the victims' car, which had two adults and four children in it.

The plea deal also required that Holmgren's license be permanently revoked.
