Gov. Dunleavy appoints new House District 13 representative

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Former Lieutenant Governor Candidate and Eagle resident, Sharon Jackson, is the new House District 13 representative. Governor Dunleavy selected Jackson to replace Nancy Dahlstrom, who was elected into the seat in November, but was appointed commissioner of the Alaska Department of Corrections by Dunleavy earlier this month.

In a press release, Dunleavy said, “Sharon has all the qualities you look for in a good representative. Experience in the private and public sectors, engagement in the Eagle River community and at Joint Base Elmendorf- Richardson, and a profound commitment to public service that can make Alaska a better place to live and raise a family.”
