FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Governor Mike Dunleavy just announced that he will be proposing the 2020 budget from former Governor Bill Walker's administration. Dunleavy's administration is moving forward with the $11.5 billion dollar proposed budget due to expectations of a state deficit. According to the administration, the state has a $1.6 billion dollar deficit from using an oil price forecast of $64 dollars, instead of the $75 dollars predicted by the Walker administration. The Alaska State Legislature will have to approve this 2020 state budget.
