Fairbanks man faces charges of attempted murder, assault

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A local man facing charges of attempted murder and assault was arraigned Wednesday in Superior Court. According to charging documents, Fairbanks police responded to a business on South Cushman just after 10 a.m. on October 29 for a report of a man, later identified as Christopher Albin, speeding around the property and nearly hitting someone.

Officers were unable to locate Albin at the time, but upon further investigation, they found he had been to the property and tried to run over the victim multiple times. Albin hit the victim's vehicle, the building and a company vehicle while yelling "I am going to kill you" and then driving off.

Albin was later arrested in the Lakeview Terrace area. He also faces assault charges for attempting to run over a gas station employee the previous day.
