FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A driver was arrested after crashing into the Best Western on Chena Landings Loop. Fairbanks Police Department officers arrested Cyrillia Kalloch Tuesday night for reckless endangerment. According to charging documents, Kalloch was driving while intoxicated and traveling at a high rate of speed, when they lost consciousness and struck the hotel's support beam, causing the car to roll over.

The defendant's daughter was in the car, and reportedly sustained injuries from the accident including an abrasion to her left eye with fresh bruising and swelling.

Passengers who were in the car told FPD that the defendant fell asleep while driving into the parking lot, and that one of the passengers tried to grab the steering wheel to turn the car and prevent it from hitting the main part of the hotel.
