FAIRBANKS, Alaska. (KTVF) The Fairbanks Native Association (FNA) is still planning their annual membership after the initial date was cancelled in March.

FNA senior management, Executive Director Steve Ginnis and the Board of Directors made a joint decision to postpone the meeting citing concerns over the COVID-19 Pandemic. Ginnis says the the feedback has been that of understanding during these times.

"I would say the majority of the people are supportive of our decision, a decision our board of directors had made," said Ginnis. "I think they're understanding the importance of making sure we do have our annual meeting, [and] we're abiding by the guidelines that have been set out."

FNA is still in the process of planning their annual meeting and board elections.
