FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks Police Department responded to several traffic accidents Thursday - including a car and borough bus collision outside of the Noel Wien Library.
A car failed to yield while pulling out of the library's parking lot, and collided with the bus.
The accident sent two of the passengers in the car to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. No injuries have been reported from passengers riding on the bus.
Sergeant Peyton Merideth with the Fairbanks Police Department is asking people to use extra caution with these wintery road conditions.
“Well Fairbanks Police has responded to a couple serious accidents today, the roads are really icy, this little snow that we're having is not helping anything and in this case just a vehicle failed to yield pulling out of the library and collide with a borough bus but again we responded to several serious accidents today so just reminding people to slow down it's really icy and everybody just take your time and get where you're going safety," he said.
