FPD, Troopers respond to large fight at Big I

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Law enforcement responded to the Big I Pub and Lounge over the weekend to investigate a possible fight. Fairbanks Police and Alaska State Troopers responded to the bar, where initial reports said there we around 50 people fighting. FPD Public Information Officer Yumi McCulloch said the number was actually smaller. A large fight did erupt in the bar parking lot, and as officers tried to contain the incident, three gun shots were heard in the area.

Two people were detained, but had no involvement with the shooting. There are no reported injuries and no known suspects at this time.
