FNSB Solid Waste Division Asks for Public Feedback on Transfer Site Survey

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks North Star Borough wants to hear from residents about their usage of transfer sites around the borough in a survey that was launched on November 14.

The transfer site survey seeks to learn how often residents use transfer sites, what services they find most important, and what hours the sites should be open, among other questions.

Grant Wright, Solid Waste Environmental Specialist with the Fairbanks North Star Borough, says the survey only takes about five minutes and you can leave as many comments as you like.

Wright told us "The assembly and the borough in general, we hear a lot of complaints from people, but we don't always hear what people like, appreciate, and what they want us to keep doing, so in order for us to know what people prefer to happen at the transfer sites, we need some better input, and that's what we hope to achieve with this survey, reaching out to an online large group of people."

Wright says that 750 people have already participated and they are hoping to hear from even more.

The survey is expected to run through the middle of December. and you can find it at http://www.fnsb.us.
