Dunleavy visits White House, meets with President Trump

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A group of newly elected governors were at the white house Thursday meeting with President Donald Trump and his cabinet. Our washington bureau's Peter Zampa tookus inside the room where our Alaskan governor, Mike Dunleavy, spoke with the president.

Governor Dunleavy was one of 13 governors inside the Cabinet Room at the White House. The president allowed a quick stop in for media. President Donald Trump welcomed governors from across the country, over a dozen states and territories. Cabinet members and advisors joined the conversation where the group was meant to discuss workforce development, the opioid crisis, infrastructure and other priorities at the state level. Governor Mike Dunleavy brought one of his most relevant concerns to the table. Governor Dunleavy has additional meetings in Washington this week, one of those was with Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.
