Community help for veterans at 'Fairbanks Veterans Stand Down' on Saturday

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) Veterans will have access to free resources and services at the 2019 'Fairbanks Veterans Stand Down' tat the Pioneer Park Civic Center. There will be many services available, from optometry and medical screenings, to blood tests and legal help. Veterans can also get massages, haircuts, and enjoy breakfast and lunch. There will also be some clothing and cold weather gear for those who need it. Brad Bunnell, with the Fairbanks Vet Center, says it's a day for the community to support our veterans.

"It's when we just relax and sit down and we just focus on the veteran. Because I'm a veteran and I know there's a lot of veterans out there that need help, needs a community's help."
