Chiropractor Appointed to State Board Arrested in Kodiak

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - UPDATE: Dunleavy's spokesman, Matt Shuckerow, said Thursday that Twiford was immediately withdrawn from the board when the administration learned of the charges.

A chiropractor appointed to a state board by Governor Dunleavy was arrested by Kodiak police and charged with multiple counts of felony assault among other charges.
Christopher Twiford , was appointed to the to the Alaska Workers' Compensation Board in January, and was set to start in March.
Police were contacted on February 3rd about a patient with assault injuries.
The victim says Twiford was drunk and hit her twice with a pet bowl causing a concussion.
She also says he strangled her, and pointed a gun at her.
Twiford was arraigned Tuesday.
