Alaska State House Creates Special Committee on Tribal Affairs

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska State House passed a resolution to create a special committee on Tribal Affairs.
Representative Bryce Edgmon, who is the first Alaska Native Speaker of the House, wanted to create a committee focused solely on tribal issues in the legislature, according to a press release from the House Majority.
The house voted 37 to 1 to create this new committee.
The committee is authorized for the duration of this legislative session, until January 2021.
