Alaska DOT receives $25 million for earthquake damage

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Thursday, the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee approved receiving $25 million in federal funding for repairs of infrastructure damaged by the earthquake. The Department of Transportation and Public Works has identified over 100 damaged sites on state highways according to Commissioner John MacKinnon. MaKinnon stated in a press release that they will have robust efforts next summer to make more permanent repairs to the earthquake damage.
