AK Department of Law Finds No Problems with Onsite Marijuana Consumption Rules

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Department of Law has found no legal problems with rules approved by marijuana regulators to allow onsite consumption of marijuana.

The rules were sent to the Lt. Governor for his signature, and are expected to take effect 30 days after they are signed.

Interested businesses will have to apply for a special onsite endorsement, and make plans that meet the security, ventilation, and other standards from the Marijuana Control Board.

Some in the industry say it's possible to see onsite consumption by this summer.
