FAIRBANKS, Alaska. (KTVF) The Blood Bank of Alaska is in critical need for donors who are O positive or negative -- but also need all blood types.
Fairbanks Center Manager Courtney Reynolds says they especially need donors with the Fourth of July holiday weekend coming up.
Reynolds says while people are out enjoying the holidays injuries can occur. "It's vital that we have enough blood for over the holiday with the centers having the day off and donors out exploring and doing Fourth of July, Independence day things. We definitely need to keep the blood supply up," said Reynolds.
The Fairbanks location is currently in their summer hours of Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on how to donate blood to the Blood Bank of Alaska.
