Alaska Court System delays new jury trials due to coronavirus

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) Chief Justice of the Alaska Supreme Court Joel Bolger issued a special order addressing the coronavirus outbreak.

Bolger said in the special order, "that the court system will stop beginning new jury trials state wide for the week of March 16-20 and thereafter pending further order."

In the order, he says that the circumstances surrounding coronavirus provide good cause to postpone impending trials.

Trials that are currently being held will continue until finished.
