FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) After the University of Alaska announced sweeping actions they are taking to mitigate the risk of coronavirus spreading on their campuses, UAF Chancellor Dan White spoke about the changes and resources available to the community.

White said that they are working hard to ensure a smooth transition from in-person classes to remote education.
"There is many questions now, but I think equally important is that there are many people working on a process to make this a smooth a transition as possible," White said.
UAF announced that they would be working to assist the students who have to leave residence halls and will grant exemptions on a case-by-case basis.
