The event took place from 11:30-1:00 and welcomed all from the veteran community.

Veterans were also welcome at the 4th Avenue location for a free lunch and some holiday cheer.

The open house turned out to be one of the busiest occasions held at the office this year as many local vets came to socialize.

Deirdra Neelie, the Office Manager for the Fairbanks Veterans Center was there, and explained just how important this event is to Fairbanks Veterans. "It's important just because it brings together the veterans and helps build the comradery, things like that. If you don't know the other veterans out there you might not feel like you have someone to talk to that understand you. So, Bring them together!,” said Neelie.
