Troopers respond to shooting off Peger Road, find deceased male

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) According to the Alaska State Troopers, they received a report of a shooting at a commercial property off Peger Road at around 5:11 a.m. Thursday. When the troopers responded they found a deceased male on the scene.

Troopers identified the male as Peter Horace-Wright, 24, of Fairbanks. Next of kin has been notified. According to an AST press release, the General Investigative Unit has responded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death and the investigation is ongoing.

Troopers sent out a NIXLE alert early Thursday morning saying that there was police activity on Peger Road and to avoid the area. As of publishing time, troopers have not announced that police activity has concluded. We will continue to monitor the story and provide updates.
