FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Her name is Zero, but she's ready to be your hero. Animal tender Kimberly Imbert introduced us to our latest Pet of the Week.
"Hi, I'm Kimberly and this week's Pet of the Week is Zero. She is a 4-year-old chihuahua and dachshund mix who was recently returned to the shelter because she didn't like sharing her people with the other dogs in the home. Zero is actually well mannered around other dogs so she can safely be around them, she just doesn't want to live with them, and she gets pretty possessive of her person. She really likes to be a princess, and she thinks she's a lap dog, and she is a fabulous cuddler. Zero is housebroken and she could use a little more activity, she has gotten a little fluffier in the last few months. But she is a really sweet dog, she likes to burrito herself in blankets, and she is usually pretty quiet unless she has some complaints about her surroundings, like other dogs walking by or people who aren't giving her attention. Zero would be a really great companion for a home with older children or with just an adult only home, she doesn't do particularly well with really small children. She is hoping to find a loving home along with other dogs and cats at the shelter," Imbert said.
