Panners awarded best offensive team at NBC World Series

The Alaska Goldpanners swept their way through pool play and placed fifth in the National Baseball Congress World Series earlier this month. The Panners were recognized as the best offensive team of the tournament, while Colin Runge was named to the All-American Team at third base.

As we inch closer to the collegiate athletic seasons, the University of Alaska Fairbanks continues to roll out sports schedules. On Monday, the Nanook Swim program announced its 2019-20 slate, featuring six appearance at the UAF Patty Center Pool.

Knock outs, submissions, and decisions: The Solid as a Rock Fighting Championships dished out belts and heavy blows throughout Saturday night at the Carlson Center.

Kendall Kramer, coming off of a cross country state championship, appears to be in mid-season form at the first high school meet of the season. Kramer finished the 3,200-meter West Valley Invite in 11 minutes and 48 seconds, smashing the event record by 29 seconds.
