Wolfpack football cruises in conference opener

The West Valley Wolfpack had their first Railbelt test Friday night when they hosted the Palmer Moose. With both the offense and the defense clicking, the Wolfpack came away with a 30-7 victory in their conference opener.


The Lathrop Malemutes hoisted the Mayor’s Bowl trophy in the rain after their 47-7 win over North Pole in their Railbelt Conference opener. Lathrop has now defeated North Pole six consecutive times.


Aaron Fletcher, of Anchorage, battled the snow, mud and rain on his way to a record breaking performance. Clocking it at 2 hours, 38 minutes and 14 seconds, Fletcher broke an Equinox Marathon record that has stood since 1984.


The Fairbanks Ice Dogs kick of their 2019-20 season with the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota. The Dogs dropped their season-opener, but bounced back with a 2-0 victory Thursday.


After the WNBA draft order was set Tuesday night, ESPN released their 2020 WNBA mock draft. The Worldwide Leader in Sports has Fairbanks' very own Ruthy Hebard going 7th overall to the Seattle Storm in the upcoming draft.
