Wild sixth inning pushes Delta past Eielson in MAC Baseball Matchup

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Two of our Interior baseball teams managed to get away from this snowfall and play a game last night in Delta Junction.
Delta won this Mid Alaska Conference Contest 15-5. ​
Despite what the final score may tell you, this was anybody's game heading into the sixth inning. ​
Delta held a 6-5 lead and then absolutely exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, securing the victory. ​
Dustin Hjelm knocked in four RBIs for the Huskies off of a 2 for 4 day at the plate. ​
Dustin Peterson went a perfect 3-for-3 at bat, bringing in one runner and scoring four times. ​
For Eielson, Brandon Lewis, Donovan Paul, Cody Benjamin, and Jaydenn Manibusan all finished with one RBI to share the team lead. ​
Pitching-wise, Dustin Peterson led the huskies with seven strikeouts in four innings, while allowing only three hits. ​
These two teams were scheduled ot be in action within city limits this weekend, however all Baseball games have been delayed through the 21st.
