FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Earlier this week USA today announced their All-USA Boys Basketball team for the state of Alaska, well they followed that up with the Girl's team.
This time, an interior player earned one of the top spots as Sierra "Si-Si" Tate was named to the first team.
Tate, a senior guard for the West Valley Wolfpack, joined an elite club last season when she passed 1,000 career points.
Joining Tate on the first team will be State Player of the year Alissa Pili from Dimond, Chugiak's Chasity Horn, Anchorage Christian's Jordan Todd, and Bethany Carstens from Nikiski.
The coach of the year was Dimond's Jim Young, who guided his team to a 29-5 record and a state title.
The second team selections were all players from down South.
West Anchorage's Azaria Robinson, Wasilla's Olivia Davies, Caitlin Pusich from Juneau-Douglas, Soldotna's Ituau Tuisaula, and Bartlett's Amelia Uhila were all named Second team All-USA.
